Who We Are

Get Involved

Rural New Generation Ministries (RNGEM) exists to holistically transform the lives of marginalized populations in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Rooted in faith and guided by compassion, we deliver life-saving humanitarian support while building sustainable, long-term solutions that empower communities to thrive.
Our work spans multiple sectors, addressing the urgent and systemic challenges faced by children, women, and vulnerable populations in Uvira, Fizi, and beyond. We aim to restore dignity, opportunity, and hope for every individual affected by decades of conflict, displacement, poverty, and environmental challenges.

Who We Are

Rural New Generation Ministries (RNGEM) is a community development nonprofit transforming rural Eastern DRC. We empower communities in Uvira, Fizi, and surrounding regions by addressing the root causes of poverty, marginalization, and environmental degradation, creating lasting solutions that uplift vulnerable populations and foster sustainable development.

Our Vision

A future where every person, family, and community in rural Eastern DRC is resilient, self-reliant, and thriving—where opportunity, dignity, and hope are not the exception, but the norm.

Our Approach

RNGEM’s work is rooted in collaboration, inclusivity, and measurable impact.
  • Community-Led: Programs are designed with local leaders and residents, ensuring relevance and sustainability.
  • Evidence-Based: Interventions are informed by data, best practices, and ongoing monitoring to maximize results.
  • Partnership-Focused: We leverage local, national, and international partnerships to amplify impact.
  • Sustainable: Every initiative is built to empower communities, not create dependency.
Through this approach, RNGEM transforms challenges—such as poverty, malnutrition, and limited education—into opportunities for growth, leadership, and resilience.

  • Widows and single mothers
  • People with disabilities
  • Marginalized ethnic groups, including Mbuti Pygmies

Our Values
  • Compassion: Every action is guided by empathy and care.
  • Equity: Ensuring resources, opportunities, and rights are accessible to all.
  • Integrity: Transparent, accountable, and professional in every action.
  • Empowerment: Equipping communities with the tools to shape their own futures.
  • Collaboration: Working alongside communities, partners, and institutions to maximize impact.
  • Sustainability: Solutions that last, nurture, and grow with the community.
